Scrollmotion Launches Creative Agency, Increases Focus on Software Development

NEW YORK, Aug. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — Scrollmotion, the world’s leader in interactive content creation, today announces the launch of Scrollmotion Blue, a creative agency focused on helping companies develop custom interactive content for mobile devices.

Scrollmotion Blue will operate as a separate business unit within the eight-year-old software company, led by President/Chief Operating Officer Doug Pierce and President/Chief Creative Officer Joe Zeff. In addition to developing content-focused apps for businesses, the agency offers whiteboard workshops, asset creation and custom functionality using Scrollmotion’s platform.

“We’re excited about software, but just as excited about storytelling,” Pierce said. “That’s how businesses engage customers and how companies train employees. Tablets transform the enterprise when used smartly, and that’s what we help our clients do.”

Pierce and Zeff bring strong agency experience to Scrollmotion Blue. Pierce was Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President at WPP digital agencies POSSIBLE and Bridge Worldwide before joining Scrollmotion. Zeff ran his own award-winning studio, Joe Zeff Design, which designed and developed mobile apps for Fast Company, National Geographic, J.P. Morgan and the National Football League. Before that he was Graphics Director of Time magazine and The New York Times‘ first Presentation Editor.

“Scrollmotion software makes it easier than ever for companies to make their own apps, but developing effective content can be hard,” said Zeff. “We can help businesses turn existing assets into interactive tools that change the way they sell, train and present.”

The software business unit of Scrollmotion will be led by its new President, Alan Braun, a former Apple and IBM manager who joined the company earlier this year as Chief Technology Officer and Executive VP of Product. Prior to Scrollmotion, Braun directed Apple’s Enterprise Innovation Lab, where he worked with Apple Mobility Partners, including Scrollmotion, to establish the industry-leading standards for enterprise apps.

Under Braun’s leadership the company will focus on expanding the Scrollmotion Enterprise Platform to allow anyone to create and deploy interactive mobile documents without programming. Scrollmotion will also continue developing its partner solutions, including BigTinCan Studio, its web-based authoring tool for interactive content creation within BigTinCan Hub. Additionally, the company is creating a suite of new products that will begin launching this fall.

“When I worked with Scrollmotion while at Apple, I was always blown away by what the design team could create with the software,” said Braun. “Since joining Scrollmotion, my goal is to put the power of interactive content into the hands of as many people as possible. I’m thrilled with the new company direction, which allows the agency team to continue creating innovative content experiences and the product team team to focus on the cutting-edge tools that power them.”

Both business units of Scrollmotion work out of the company’s new Times Square headquarters in New York City. Scrollmotion’s west coast office continues to operate out ofLa Jolla, California.

“The two divisions complement one another supporting our singular focus – to provide the world’s most powerful mobile content creation software, enabling interactivity everywhere,” said Dean Furbush, Chief Executive Officer of Scrollmotion. “Our new structure allows each business unit to drive for its own goals, while maintaining the R&D and customer success benefits that come when awesome people work together.”
