Scrollmotion Appoints Alan Braun New CEO

NEW YORK, Dec. 19, 2016 — Scrollmotion, the world’s leader in interactive content creation, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Braun as CEO effective January 2, 2017. Mr. Braun will succeed Dean Furbush, who has led the company since 2013, and is moving to the position of Executive Chair.

“Alan is the right person at the right time to lead Scrollmotion,” said Dean Furbush. “He deeply understands technology products, from design, technology, and business perspectives. But more, he will lead with the inspiration and perseverance we need to fulfill our immense potential. I’m proud to hand him the reins.”

Braun is currently President of the Scrollmotion product division, where he has directed the development of its upcoming software platform called Ingage. The first Ingage product is an iPad app that enables users to quickly create interactive presentations that can be viewed on any device, and will launch in the U.S. in January 2017.

Prior to Scrollmotion, Braun, a graduate of the University of Maryland, worked at Apple where he built an organization to support Fortune 1000 customers in creating enterprise apps for iOS devices. Then he moved on to direct the Enterprise Innovation Lab, where he led the team that helps Apple’s Mobility Partners (including Scrollmotion) with the design and architecture of their apps.

“Alan has been a friend of Scrollmotion since his time at Apple, when he saw the potential in our technology. It’s been great having him on our team for the past 10 months, and I’m thrilled about our future,” said Josh Koppel, founder of Scrollmotion. “We are lucky to have had Dean’s leadership. He joined us at a most critical time and made it possible for us to reach this exciting place.”

As CEO of Scrollmotion, Braun will be responsible for both the product division and the services division, Scrollmotion Blue, which develops custom mobile apps for clients like General Motors and Apple.

“I’m honored to be leading such a talented group of people into the next phase of Scrollmotion’s growth as a product company,” said Braun. “We have a robust pipeline of products that will enable anyone to create and share compelling interactive content without hiring a designer or coder. And I’m so happy to have Dean as a mentor and continuing member of the Scrollmotion family.

Dean Furbush, who has served as CEO since 2013, will transition to Executive Chair of the Board. In addition to his role working on strategy and significant growth initiatives at Scrollmotion, Furbush will remain active on the boards of the Solutions Journalism Network and College Summit, his two non-profit passions.
