How did you get into software engineering? I was into fixing and putting together computers when I was in high school. Once I started taking courses I found out it was more about math, logic and data and less about hardware, but I loved it and stayed.

How long have you worked at ScrollMotion? I started in January 2013, so about a year and half.

Who was the last person that called or texted you? My wife.
What do you do for fun outside of ScrollMotion? I have way too many hobbies but currently I’m into saltwater fishing and playing the bass and guitar. My wife and I also like to go to thrift stores and flea markets and collect things for fun or sell them for profit.
What kind of things do you collect? I like books, mostly non-fiction books on WWII, crafts, music, programming, and any book that can teach you a skill. My wife likes collecting Disney memorabilia.
What’s the wallpaper on your phone? The stock one. I’m very spartan when it comes to my personal stuff.

How many countries have you been to? 3 countries: Mexico, the US, and Guatemala. What’s something at the top of your bucketlist? I want to go to New Orleans. My wife and I are into Cajun culture and food. What is your favorite food? Chocolate, in all forms. What makes you happiest? Beer. I like craft beer, mostly IPAs and Porters. What was the last book you read? The Hobbit.
What is the most important thing to remember in your work? Commas, closing parenthesis, and brackets. Biggest threat to your productivity is… Conversations around me. Not because it bothers me, but because I start listening in and lose focus. And you overcome that how? Headphones and sea shanties!
